Note From City of Sterling
The City of Sterling and Xcel Energy are continually coordinating to ensure that construction activities do not disrupt your regular trash service. To avoid active operations and heavy equipment, collection crews will begin their route in the Charmony construction zones neighborhood.
Please ensure your trash cans are at the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular pickup day to guarantee they aren’t missed.

In observance of Labor Day, no work will occur Monday, September 7.
During the week of September 8, crews will work in the following areas:
- Villa Vista Street, between Plainview Avenue and Valley Drive
- Service installation
- Lane closures
- California Street, between Plainview Avenue and Valley Drive
- Service installation
- Lane closures
- Colorado Place, between Plainview Avenue and Valley Drive
- Natural gas line installation
- Service installation
- Lane closures
- Williams Place, between Mark Court and Valley Drive
- Natural gas line installation
- Service installation
- Lane closures
Crews will work Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In certain circumstances, crews may work weekends or overnights.
Please follow posted detours and instructions from traffic flaggers. Schedules are subject to change.
